You are quite right :) …I see the book on ASP .NET Professional is a good book to start with. I think this is a Wrox book. Some of the others inculde "Essential ASP.NET" from Fritz are some of the other books that come to my mind now.

You might get more books if you post at the ASP.NET NG’s :) …

    HTH, Regards.

    Hi Vinod,

Nice to see u replying even after a busy schedule u have ( I Imagine). I will quickly search on my part on TOAD’s website for their support ID and give them a feedback.

I have reasonable System Administration + SQL Server Coding & DBA skills & IIS administration too.. I would like to learn ASP.NET.. in the past i wrote C++ ,Java programs also. I am not aware of ASP.. where do i start? do i need to learn ASP for learning ASP.NET? Also pl. suggest me a ultimate book on ASP.NET.

I know u would be happy if I had post this on a news group.. but still I am giving a try and expecting a reply from u.

Well, I do take that word for now. But in its first build we cannot expect much, can we :). But I’ve been a big fan of the Oracle Version of the same. It is amazing. For a matter of fact Oracle never had an Enterprise Manager like the one in SQL for a looong time. TOAD used to rule the Oracle maintenance work.

I expect a good return in the subsequent releases. And I think we will need to give feedbacks on the same to Quest :) for more user friendly and added features …

    Hi Vinod,

Good to see that you have added TOAD to your list. I have found it on Sunday, February 15, 2004 and evaluated it. It is handicapped as you cannot execute SQL DML code, not u can see the performance of the queries you wrote. It cannot beat Query Analyser in any way.
