Picture Post: Facing our fears December 5th, 2012

Fears are educated into us, and can, if we wish, be educated out – Karl Augustus Menninger

We all have fears for something and it is human nature. These fantasies have been educated and put into us. When we were kids, parents tell you about the Joker, Batman, Vampires, Ghosts etc. As we all recognize, fears is majorly a mind game. As we get over ages, these fears get manifested in different forms and more an more people tend to run away / ignore the existence of the problem. These days it is important to teach kids the need to face their fears and solve them. Just like the saying, if you haven’t failed yet means you haven’t tried anything new.

Curiosity will conquer fear even more than bravery will – James Stephens

Just because a problem is temporarily out of sight doesn’t really mean it is done and gone. So snap out and face your fears, your problems and get it solved. It is similar to our credit cards, we are happy temporarily but the bills are waiting to be delivered later :).

I remember a common story I heard – when it rains, all birds look for shelter, but Eagle avoids rains by flying high above the clouds. Problem is common to all, but the attitude to solve the problem makes all the difference we seek.

The same logic applies to our professional life too. Don’t try to chew more than what you can handle. Know to knock off one after another. Face and look for solutions.

Never be afraid to try something new. Remember, amateurs built the ark, professionals built the Titanic.

Thanks for reading this far. Do tell me if you agree to me here. Are there fears you run away from even today?
