Picture Post: Paradox of being someone else September 11th, 2012

This picture post is a simple concept but yet powerful in my opinion. When we were kids we wanted to grow up because we thought that was cool, and once we grow up we cherish and want to relive the life of a child. So strange are our wishes, but there is more to life than just making these wishes.

Professionally, I have seen people try to mimic others and try to compare with everyone. You are meant to be unique and there is only one person out there that resembles you – that is YOU. So don’t get into the rat race of being someone else and loosing your identity in that process to become Nobody. I feel strong about this philosophy and would love to hear from you too.

Take a moment to see yourself – how we tame our kids to be somebody else, how we compare them with others, how we talk with managers/HR of someone else’s success and compare.
