Vinod Kumar

I am really passionate about SQL Server but at the same time I make time to write some general tips around management, leadership, productivity at work. These seem to have become a trend and have increased my viewership for this blog by leaps and bounds. With more than 5 years of evangelism behind me, this feeling of sharing is yet to die. Not that I am a big supporter of just writing but make efforts to also practice it from time-to-time. One of my readers wrote a note that inspired me to make this page. I will try to keep updating this as new articles get added atleast every other month to keep this current.

This page is a single page for you to have some good read of popular posts around popular management topics that I have written over this blog. It is amazing and tough to keep track of these hence this page is born :)

    Hi Vinod,
after getting some important post(isolation level) ,i am new fan in your fans list, i want ask to you something about how to find a job as SQL SERVER DBA, now days i am working as a SQL developer having one year Experience so can you tell me how to start and get this job.

    thanks sir

    • Vinod Kumar says:

Well, it is simple. Start in investing time in understanding, knowing and playing around with different job functions of a typical DBA. This would be something like backup, maintenance, deployment basics etc first. Once you have figured this out, finding a job is quite easy. I would say, your knowledge is your gateway to success. Invest in it with full heart.

    Thanks for your reply,

I mean that in Personal development section if I click on “My top 5 networking tips.” it is showing me another post, it is linked to “drop the excuse page”.

same with the link “Training-a necessity or bonus”, it seems that the hyperlinks are not correct.

    Hope I conveyed you correctly.

    Hi Vinod,

Treasure of very useful articles for every one, I found that some of the links are mismatched in Personal development section. please look in to that links.

    Training-a necessity or bonus

    My top 5 networking tips.

I will surely re-categorize them if I find better grouping. Thought training and networking can be part of career development, I think once we have enough topics on that – I will reorder them. Hope that is fine :). Thanks again for taking time and dropping a line.
